There are a number of 5K training apps on the market and many of them are very well planned and can provide you with the instruction you need. But, after trying Zombies, Run! 5K, I can tell you this is the first one that is so interesting that I can’t wait to go out and train again. Good news, you got in shape in the first quarter of the year and now you are looking for new and different ideas to spice up your exercise routines. Consider one of the Couch-to-5K apps. You get a structured routine, your own personal coach, an opportunity to interact with our community and improve your health. That sounds like a win-win to me. There are a number of these apps. An important part of maintaining good health is exercise. Keeping track of your exercise is a good way to motivate and inspire you. Nike + Running is an app that can help do that. It can time your walk or run, play music, prompt you with updates as you travel and provide you with a map of your exact route. If you want, it can also post your runs to Facebook. Updated: Some apps have staying power and some don’t. I downloaded this app in October 2011 and have logged over 300 miles on it. I don’t start a walk without it. I enjoy the positive feedback of seeing my history.
