Google Keep Makes Keeping Notes, Lists and Checklists a Breeze

Total Score:  29.5

GoogleKeep LogoI am a big fan of productivity apps and have tried most of the popular ones.  Once I download the app, I begin by being enthused, but eventually they don’t keep me interested.  I think the features and functions of the Google Keep can keep me invested in this one.  The user interface is clean, the learning curve minimal and the functionality is varied to meet many needs.

Organize with iPlan myTime

Total Score:  27

Having a good planning tool is a critical part of staying organized.  You should look at iPlan myTime and see if it fits your needs.  You can add projects, then tasks under projects, see them in calendar view and in a timeline view.   You can also share an image of the timeline.  Perhaps the most important to me, is cloud support. Do it All with Any.DO

Total Score:  29.5

I test a lot of productivity apps because I crave organization.  I am not organized by nature, so I need a lot of help.  I want options to order reminders by date, by category, prioritize some – but not others, get reminders, add, and move them around easily.  Any.DO does all those things, and a few more.

Remember The Milk and a Whole Lot More

Total Score: 28

I have used a number of the reminder type apps and up until now haven’t found one that meets all of my needs. This app may be the one I have been searching for.  I’ll go into all the details below, but Remember the Milk has a couple of things that I like.  I know it may be shallow, but I like my reminder app to be attractive – and this one is.  You can easily organize your tasks by day, week month and not just one list.   I suppose it’s not important, but I love the icon! SmartPlans – Multi Planner, Multi-Tasking Just Got Easier

Total Score:  28

I don’t know about you, but I have multiple projects going on all the time.  Reminder apps do not quite meet my needs.  I need something a little robust so that I can manage my time more efficiently.  Smart Plans – Multi Planner for iPhone or iPad fills that need.    I can create a simple task list and create a number of multi-month projects.    This is not an app designed to be shared with a team, this is an app for one person’s use to manage their time and tasks.  Continue reading “SmartPlans – Multi Planner, Multi-Tasking Just Got Easier”

iReminder – To Do and Reminder w/Snooze and Alert – Could This Be the Perfect Fit?

Total Score:  28

I am somewhat of a to-do list junkie.   It’s not that I must have all of them.  It’s that I have had trouble finding just the right one.  I know this comes down to very personal tastes, but iReminder for iPhone and iPad seems to have all the things I am looking for.  It’s easy to enter, I can put in dates and times and it comes up on my iPhone reminder screen.  For me it has to be functional first, but it also needs to be colorful and intuitive.  This app is a perfect fit for me. Penultimate – Best in Class iPad Handwriting App

Total Score:  29

I have been looking for an app that would allow me to take notes in meetings, annotate photos and generally help me stay organized.  I have tested a couple of apps that met that need, but until now, none that inspired me like Penultimate.   I started out my test enjoying the features offered – ink colors, moving between pages, cutting, erasing and importing photos.  From that point, I decided I needed to create a book of my own.  First I documented my New Year’s resolutions (if you write them down you are more likely to achieve them), then I decided I needed a fitness journal, and then I decided I wanted to create a life journal and I haven’t even gotten to the work uses yet!  I think this app will exceed your expectations and dare I say it, improve your life!
