RunPee Is Almost a Pause Button At The Theater

Total Score:  27.5
RunPee logoSome movies are just so long that you need a bathroom break in the middle.  But, I hate to miss any of the action.  The RunPee app is what I have been waiting for.  It tells me the ideal time, tells me a synopsis of what I will miss, and gives me a silent vibration.  It’s perfect for parents or just anyone who feels that call during a movie.  You receive silent vibrations on your iPhone, iTouch or Apple Watch and know just when to run out for a little relief.

Save Precious Photos with Heirloom

Total Score:  29.5
Heirloom - LogoThe Heirloom app came along at just the right time for me.  I am pruning what I store and keep and planned to scan all my photos.  Yes, I have a scanner, but after testing Heirloom, it works much faster and as some reviewers noted, improves the quality of the photo.  I am completely sold on this app!

Google Keep Makes Keeping Notes, Lists and Checklists a Breeze

Total Score:  29.5

GoogleKeep LogoI am a big fan of productivity apps and have tried most of the popular ones.  Once I download the app, I begin by being enthused, but eventually they don’t keep me interested.  I think the features and functions of the Google Keep can keep me invested in this one.  The user interface is clean, the learning curve minimal and the functionality is varied to meet many needs.

Schedule Your Housework with Tody

Total Score:  29.5

Tody logoI have to admit that I enjoy housework, but tend to procrastinate.   My dream is to commit to a regular schedule of cleaning that doesn’t involve devoting a whole day to the process.  Using the Tody for iPhone or iPad app allows you to plan your long-term and short-term cleaning projects, schedule them and get reminders.   With this app I can balance my work, hobbies and responsibilities and keep a clean house.   I think this is going to become one of my favorite apps.

Easy Password Maintenance with Passible

Total Score:  29.5
Passible - logoLooking for a way to manage all of your passwords?   Passible (for iPhone or iPad) is an elegant solution. I loaded all my passwords and have used it regularly – if not daily.  I used another password manager for about a year.  I found it easy to add passwords, but hard to find them.  And, my previous app didn’t have the ability to export/import passwords.  So, all my problems are solved and I am an evangelist for this app!

Explore and Enjoy The Plunge of Icarus

Total Score:  29.5

The Plunge of Icarus - iconThe Plunge of Icarus is a cinenovel.  If you have never heard of or seen a cinenovel – you are in for a treat.  You can read it like a traditional book, listen to the narrated version and add music. Leave your reality and become part of this new world.   It is a classic hero novel, complete with true love.  It is a cautionary tale about war.  It is a sci-fi story that seems contemporary.  It is hard to imagine you can pack all of that into a novel – but they did.  You are immersed in the story and will not want to leave.

Track it to Lose It

Total Score:  29

Lose it - Logo
Want to lose weight?  Log your food with Lose It.  It works – all the time.  There are a several top apps to log food, Lose It is one of the best.  Once you have a clear idea of what you are eating, you’ll naturally adjust, limit, and then change as needed.   It is colorful, easy to use, and has a few social aspects that may help you come back often.  Give it a try to see what you think.

Update:   Lose it has upped their game by adding Apple Watch functionality to the app.   For you Watch users, you can add a complication to your watch face that gives you an indicator of how you are doing each day.  You’ll see a number (the number of calories you have left in the day) and an up or down arrow.  Up means you are over your mark, down means you have some room for that snack.  It made this app worth another try.

Now Is The Time to Start Your Journal With Day One

Total Score:  29.5

Day One LogoDay One is  the Journal app you have been looking for.  It is super easy to use, combines words and photos, a reminder function and the ability to auto add location and weather.   I admit to having this app installed for a long time.   I just didn’t have the desire to journal or test the app.  One day, after using Loop Journal for a while, I decided to try to use Day One as well.  For about 30 days, I have kept both and find each to have their benefits.  Loop Journal prompts you to enter your thoughts on a specific topic, Day One is more free flowing.

Capture Your Thoughts With Loop Journal

Total Score:  27
Loop logoLoop Journal is easy to use and makes keeping track of your thoughts and ideas seamless.  I have tried a number of apps with this type of functionality, but none captured my attention like this one.   I look forward to the questions, and often look ahead to see the next day’s question so I can think about it.   I schedule the prompt for early evening when I sit down to relax.   It helps me put my day in context.   I have used it for about two months.  I can’t wait until it circles back next year.
