Some movies are just so long that you need a bathroom break in the middle. But, I hate to miss any of the action. The RunPee app is what I have been waiting for. It tells me the ideal time, tells me a synopsis of what I will miss, and gives me a silent vibration. It’s perfect for parents or just anyone who feels that call during a movie. You receive silent vibrations on your iPhone, iTouch or Apple Watch and know just when to run out for a little relief.

I’ve looked at others, but this one meets all my needs and addresses some of my privacy concerns. I use this app whether I am traveling or when family sends me their itinerary so that I can arrange airport pickups.

I’ve had an Apple Watch for about five months and find a lot to like about it, but when I tried the Apple Maps app, I realized this was a feature I could not live without. I was able to keep my eyes on the road and get prompts for upcoming turns. Combined with the phone, I heard audio prompts as well. If you have a watch and haven’t tried this app, do. If you don’t have a Watch, you can either use this as a reason to get one – or enjoy the features on your iPhone.

Want to lose weight? Log your food with Lose It. It works – all the time. There are a several top apps to log food, Lose It is one of the best. Once you have a clear idea of what you are eating, you’ll naturally adjust, limit, and then change as needed. It is colorful, easy to use, and has a few social aspects that may help you come back often. Give it a try to see what you think.
Update: Lose it has upped their game by adding Apple Watch functionality to the app. For you Watch users, you can add a complication to your watch face that gives you an indicator of how you are doing each day. You’ll see a number (the number of calories you have left in the day) and an up or down arrow. Up means you are over your mark, down means you have some room for that snack. It made this app worth another try.
