The Plunge of Icarus is a cinenovel. If you have never heard of or seen a cinenovel – you are in for a treat. You can read it like a traditional book, listen to the narrated version and add music. Leave your reality and become part of this new world. It is a classic hero novel, complete with true love. It is a cautionary tale about war. It is a sci-fi story that seems contemporary. It is hard to imagine you can pack all of that into a novel – but they did. You are immersed in the story and will not want to leave.

Want to lose weight? Log your food with Lose It. It works – all the time. There are a several top apps to log food, Lose It is one of the best. Once you have a clear idea of what you are eating, you’ll naturally adjust, limit, and then change as needed. It is colorful, easy to use, and has a few social aspects that may help you come back often. Give it a try to see what you think.
Update: Lose it has upped their game by adding Apple Watch functionality to the app. For you Watch users, you can add a complication to your watch face that gives you an indicator of how you are doing each day. You’ll see a number (the number of calories you have left in the day) and an up or down arrow. Up means you are over your mark, down means you have some room for that snack. It made this app worth another try.

Day One is the Journal app you have been looking for. It is super easy to use, combines words and photos, a reminder function and the ability to auto add location and weather. I admit to having this app installed for a long time. I just didn’t have the desire to journal or test the app. One day, after using Loop Journal for a while, I decided to try to use Day One as well. For about 30 days, I have kept both and find each to have their benefits. Loop Journal prompts you to enter your thoughts on a specific topic, Day One is more free flowing.
