Pandora Radio app is a must-have for music lovers. You can select any artist, song or composer and the app will play your selected choice first and then other artists/composers/songs with a similar sound. Many of you are already familiar with the PC version of Pandora. The one difference is the music will play longer before checking to make sure you are still “in the room.” You might still fill your iPod with personal music, but will find you use this app more than your own tunes. The icons are identical, but there is a specific app for the iPad.

Will You Use It Rating = 5 It is good for everyday use. There is an almost unlimited selection of music by genres, composer or artists.
This is a great app for long drives. The only downside is cell phone tower availability. Driving through a drop zone will result in the stopping and starting of music. Mildly annoying, but this can happen with any app that requires a live feed.
Downsides Rating = -1 There are small ads on the at the bottom of your screen. Occasionally short ads will play. It doesn’t happen often. You can upgrade to an ad-free version, but the ads have only a minor impact on the total experience.
Consumer Review Rating = 3.5 Over 785,000 people have downloaded this app. It’s a popular app and a must-have as far as I am concerned.
Why Do You Need This App Rating = 5 Studies show that music relaxes you and can reduce your blood pressure and heart rate. Source: WebMD
How does it work?
You create “stations” that play your music. You type in either an artist, song or composer. When you open Pandora, it will start playing the last station you selected. You only need to hit a back button to select a different station.
If you have an iPhone 3Gs or above you can stream music when other apps are open. Devices: This app can be used on either the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. It requires iOS 3.0 or later. This app was developed by Pandora Media, Inc.
With the large screen, there is room to show a bio of each artist. Your stations are on a portion of the screen on the left. There doesn’t seem to be an additional functionality, just the ability to do more without moving from screen to screen.
